Xiamen to Shenzhen Rail Starts Its Trial Run Today

Soon you can travel easily from Xiamen to Hong Kong within 3 hours via Shenzhen, when Xiamen-Shenzhen Rail is fully opened. The Xiamen-Shenzhen high-speed train has started its railway line trail run from today (1st, December,2013), according to the broadcast from China Railway Department.
The entire length of the Xiamen-Shenzhen Railway line is 502.4km in total, with 144.2km within Fujian Province and 358.2km within Guangdong province. This project which was started on October in 2008 has the whole railway line finally connected together on 20th May 2013. From September of 2013, the Xiamen-Shenzhen railway authority has been conducting a combined test run on the line.
The Xiamen-Shenzhen Railway line will start from Xiamen, then pass through Fujian province of Zhangzhou cities, Chaozhou, Shantou, Jieyang and Shanwei Huizhou cities in Guangdong province before it ends in Shenzhen. The trains will stop at total 18 stations including Xiamen North Station, Jiaomei Station, Zhangzhou Station, Zhangpu Station, Yunxiao Station, Shenzhen East Station and Shenzhen North Station.
After the trial run is completed successfully, the Xiamen-Shenzhen high-speed train will officially carry passengers fom 26th December,2013. The entire travel will only take a total of 3 hours to complete.
