A Visit to Kinmen and Penghu (Part Four)

Normally they are four tour itineraries in whole Penghu for travelers according the attractions’ location. They are the north line, the south line, Jibei Island and The Wang’an-Qimei Island. Most of the attractioins in Penghu Island are centered on the north line. and Jibei Island is famous for water activities. And Wang’an-Qimei island is famous for the fantastic Seaview.
Every itinerary needs at least one day . If your time is enough, you can spend 4 to 5 days in Penghu and visit all the places here. To visit Jibei island and Wang’an-Qimei Island ,you need to take ferry to be there. As our time is limited, we decide to rent a taxi to go around the north of Penghu where we can visit most of the attractions in Penghu.
Zhongtun Wind Power Plant is the first attraction you will visit along the north line . This is only Wind Power Plant in Penghu.
Penghu Aquarium, It seems there is not too much visitors here. We even see some prisoners working in the square.
This Huge Banyan is located in the Tongliang village with a more than three hundred years history. It is so huge that it even occupy all the square.

Useful information
Public transport is not quite convenient in these attractions. There are bus from Magong city to Yuweng Light Tower, and stop at most of the attractions here. But you have to waste much of your time at waiting the bus. The best way is to rent a motor bike or car if you have an international driving license.
If you do not hold an international driving license, you can ask a taxi and the cost is around NT2000 for half a day(4-5 hours). You can stop at every attractions and decide the time by yourself.
