One Aircraft from Mozambique Airlines Missing with 33 Dead

An aircraft TM470 from Mozambican airlines carrying 27 passengers and 6 crews on board was missing on Friday. According to the report from local media, the flight TM470 took off at 11:26 local time from Maputo,the capital of Mozambique and was planning to land off at Luanda, the capital of Angola at 14:10 on 29th November. On the way to Luanda, the airplane lost contact with air traffic controllers and never arrived, the airline said in a statement.
There were 27 passengers on board including 10 Mozambican, 9 Angolan, 5 Portuguese, 1 French, 1 Brazilian and 1 Chinese. The authorities said the aircraft is feared to crash in the north of Namibia. An aviation officer in the area told AFP on condition of anonymity that unconfirmed reports suggested the airplane may have gone down in the Bwabwata National Park around 200 kilometers (124 miles) east of Rundu.
Today the wreckage of the missing Mozambique Airlines plane has been found in northeast Namibia, and there are no survivors in the crash, according to a local police official.
“The plane has been completely burnt to ashes and there are no survivors,” Namibian Police Force Deputy Commissioner, Willy Bampton, told Reuters.
